Facebook announced an update for Instagram and Messenger. Users can now communicate with each other without having to download a second app. This was reported by the press service of the company in its blog.
Also, it became possible to configure privacy to control which folder new messages are sent to: chats, correspondence requests, or a folder with a ban on receiving.
In addition, several features have been added to Instagram used by Messenger:
reply to a specific message,
forwarding a message,
customizable colors and chat themes,
sending animated messages.
According to the head of Messenger Stanislav Chudnovsky on his Facebook page, the company has launched new features in test mode in several countries. They will become available to all users in the near future.
Also Facebook added:
the function of sharing video from IGTV during a call,
the mode of “disappearing” messages after viewing them or closing the chat,
custom reactions to messages using emoji,
the function of warning the administrator about suspicious correspondence with the ability to block the interlocutor on both Instagram and Facebook.
It is noted that some functions, for example, selfie stickers, will first appear on Instagram, and after a while in Messenger.
